Bolide Movie Creator can help you edit your own videos. In general, the interface of this editor is not very different from those of other similar tools. However, I wasn’t very pleased with its design, and in my opinion, some of the procedures are unnecessarily difficult.
This video editor has some advanced features that allow customizing the way your clips look like. In this regard, it allows creating object libraries, to which you can import audio, video, and image files in a wide variety of formats. Luckily, you can create new objects by capturing video directly from a webcam, although it’s discouraging that this feature only works if you use Altercam, an external tool.
These objects, in turn, can be dragged onto a timeline supporting multiple layers. From then on, you can start applying transitions and effects. Of these effects, I particularly liked virtual screens because they allow framing one clip into another very easily. Moreover, you can modify the effects or even create new templates. Furthermore, you can add text captions if you wish.
In general, Bolide Movie Creator is somewhere between very simple video editors, such as Windows Movie Maker, and much more sophisticated applications, like Adobe Premiere and Final Cut. If I really had to recommend you a video editor, my opinion is that you can find much better tools out there.
Simple yet efficient DVD creation tool for your video clips and home recordings.
